The Boreal Centre for Bird Conservation (BCBC) is the only facility of its kind to be located on the breeding grounds of boreal birds. A 1,000 sq ft exhibit gallery inhabits the southern wing of the brand new building (LEED-Silver certification pending), enhancing their public outreach program.

Under the direction of Panther Management, Double Dare Design worked alongside Karo Design through the design development phase to obtain client approvals and communicate final design decisions to the exhibit fabrication team.

In a few short months, Double Dare Design co-ordinated the approvals for over 50 graphic panels and artisanal features, including two dozen bird sculptures, two permanent forest features, and an oversized bird nest seating area. We also oversaw the development of three computer interactives, custom artworks and illustrations, and exterior signage.

Double Dare Design was also on-hand during the installation process to discuss site issues with the client and manage last minute requests prior to BCBCs grand opening. The annual Songbird Festival was a huge success and well attended by bird enthusiasts from all over the province.
